We are a warm friendly and welcoming club and becoming a member is simple and is easy to do. You will need to obtain a membership form, to do this you can ask a current member to obtain a form on your behave. Or you can contact the club secretary on 01473 728295 who will be happy to assist you in obtaining a form. Once you have completed the form please return it to the club with a £5 deposit. You will then be contacted and invited to the club for an informal interview. This is to give us a chance to meet you and discuss the clubs policies and for you to see the club and what we offer. If you are happy and would like to continue with your membership we then require a payment of £35. The total cost of your membership is £40 Your notice of membership will then go on the Clubs notice board for five days. Provided there are no objections put in writing to the committee regarding your membership from current members, your membership request will then be taken to the committee for their approval. If successful you will then be contacted by the club secretary and issued with your membership card, membership number and door fob. We also offer for an additional cost of £5 an affiliation card which allows you access to any other conservative club in the country. If for any reason your membership is unsuccessful all monies will be refunded in full. Renewal of membership is carried out on a yearly basis and your £40 membership fee is due on the 1st January each year A list of times for doing your renewal will be placed on the notice board within the club We are now taking membership payments by BACS our account number is 01997565 and sort code 30 94 55 Please remember if you pay by BACS you will still need to pick up your membership cards. They can be picked up anytime during opening hours. We encourage members to pay please by the end of January if possible Any member who has not paid their subscription by the end of February their membership shall be deem to have lapsed. They may be re-admitted later in during the same year on paying the arrears. Any member in arrears shall not be permitted to make use of the facilities of the club or take part in its affairs. This includes a prohibition on using the Club premises as an affiliated member or being intoduced as a guest Because of the situation at the present time we are asking members to do their renewal for 2026 from the 1st August 2025. The £40 renewal will then see their membership run till 1st January 2027. Those not wishing to pay in August 2025 their membership will become due on the1st January 2026 at a cost of £40 Anyone who has not renewed by the 31st January 2026 will find their fob has been deactivated. This will be reactivated once payment of membership has been recieved. |
